Frequently asked questions
Is Promly free?
Free to start. Every new account gets 15 Pixels, with no credit card. On the default model a picture is 2 Pixels, so that is about seven pictures, one four-panel story or comic, or one 5-second video clip. The Reel Maker and the Video Editor are free. After that, Pixel packs start at 50 Pixels for $12 (they last 12 months), or plans at $7 a month for 30 Pixels.
What is a Pixel?
Promly's credit. A picture costs 1–5 Pixels depending on the AI model: 2 on the default, GPT Image 2.5. A video clip is priced by its length: 8 Pixels for 5 seconds on FLUX 3. If a generation fails, its Pixels come back automatically.
Do I need to know how to write prompts?
No. Each Kit asks a few plain questions and Promly writes the prompt for the model. The one exception is the Direct Kit (Compare AI Image Models), where you write the prompt yourself and send it to many models at once.
Which AI models does Promly use?
Fourteen image models from seven providers: GPT Image 2.5, GPT · 2K and GPT · 4K (OpenAI); Nano Banana 2 · Lite, 2.1 and Pro (Google); Flux · Fast, Flux, Flux 3 and Flux · Flex (Black Forest Labs); Recraft V4.1; Seedream 5 (ByteDance); Ideogram; and Grok Imagine 2. Video runs on FLUX 3 Video and Seedance 2.5. The model and its price are shown before you generate.
Is there anything a free account cannot do?
Every Kit and every image model works on the free account. In video, a free account makes FLUX 3 clips from a description or an image made in Promly; animating your own uploaded photo and Seedance camera moves need a plan or a Pixel pack.
Can I use what I make commercially?
Yes. Under Promly's Terms the images you generate are yours to use for any purpose, personal or commercial. The image models' own licence terms also apply.
