Promly's image to video turns a still picture into a short clip with sound. You pick the picture, choose how long (5, 10 or 20 seconds) and tap Animate. The Animate Kit writes the motion instruction for FLUX 3 Video by Black Forest Labs and returns an MP4 in about a minute. For a deliberate camera move (an orbit, a push in or a reveal) it uses Seedance 2.5 by ByteDance instead. A 5-second clip costs 8 Pixels.

Animate brings the picture gently to life. A camera move (Orbit, Push in or Reveal) moves the camera instead. Pick 5, 10 or 20 seconds. The model and its Pixel price are on the button.

About a minute later the MP4 with sound is in your history. Download it, change one thing in it with Change it, or cut it with others in the free Video Editor.

What each account can do
Every account pays for clips in Pixels, the free one included. What a paid account adds is your own photos and the camera moves. Uploads need a paid account so that a photo of someone else can't be animated from an anonymous account.

Change it costs 5 Pixels on a 5-second clip (9, 17 and 25 on 10, 20 and 30 seconds). A Pixel is $0.12 on Studio, $0.16 on Pro, about $0.23 on Starter and $0.24 in the 50-Pixel pack, so a 5-second Animate clip is $0.96 to $1.92. If a clip fails or the model refuses the picture, its Pixels come back automatically. Prices as of 27 October 2026.

Rules, limits and what you own
- You own the clips you make and may use them commercially. Clips are AI-generated; FLUX 3 clips carry C2PA Content Credentials and Promly never removes them.
- Upload only images you have the right to use. Photos of other people need their consent; no images of anyone under 18; no deceptive or intimate depictions of real people. If a clip could pass for real footage, say so where you post it.
- An uploaded photo is deleted from Promly's storage as soon as the clip finishes. The clip stays in your history until you delete it.

Can I turn a picture into a video for free?
You can start free. Every new account gets 15 Pixels, with no credit card, and a 5-second clip costs 8. On a free account you can animate a picture you made in Promly (a picture is 2 Pixels on the default model, so a picture and its clip come to 10) or make a clip from words. Animating a photo you upload, camera moves and Change it need any plan, from $7 a month, or a Pixel pack, from $12.
Do I have to write a prompt?
No. Pick the picture and tap Animate; Promly writes the motion instruction for the model. If you want something specific to move, you can add a short line such as “the leaves drift down”, but it is optional.
How long can the video be?
5, 10 or 20 seconds with Animate (FLUX 3 Video), and 5, 10, 20 or 30 seconds with a camera move (Seedance 2.5). Longer clips cost less per second: 8 Pixels for 5 seconds, 14 for 10 and 28 for 20.
How much does a clip cost?
Animate: 8 Pixels for 5 seconds, 14 for 10, 28 for 20. Camera move: 20 Pixels for 5 seconds, 36 for 10, 72 for 20, 108 for 30. On the Pro plan a Pixel is $0.16, so a 5-second Animate clip is $1.28. Failed or refused clips are refunded automatically.
Does the video have sound?
Yes. Both models make audio with the clip. You can mute it, or replace it in Promly's free Video Editor.
How long does it take?
About a minute for Animate: the median 5-second clip over the last 45 days took 70 seconds. A camera move takes about 4 minutes. Keep the tab open; the clip also lands in your history.
Can I animate a photo of a person?
Yes, on a paid account, with that person's consent and never anyone under 18. No intimate, degrading or deceptive depictions of real people, and if the clip could pass for real footage, say so where you post it. The uploaded photo is deleted from Promly's storage as soon as the clip finishes.
